The world’s top tennis player will be in Portugal this spring to compete in the Estoril Open, an ATP World Tour 250 clay-court tournament. Held May 1-9, 2010 the open is one of the rare world tennis events to combine tournaments that count towards the official classifications of the ATP and the WTA Tour. Two competitions held during a single event at the Jamor Tennis Club puts the Portuguese tournament at a select level with only 13 other events. Federer hopes to repeat his 2008 performance at the Estoril Open, where he landed his 54th career ATP World Tour trophy, when a record 53,888 spectators visited the Estadio Nacional.
